2015 Kaleidoscope Horizons
This wine shares a blood line with the Mosaic of Dreams, however it can appear like the boisterous or sultry twin when they are scrutinised side by side. Despite the dark notes on the nose the palate finishes with polish and poise.
The alluring cherry and red berry flavours are supported with the creaminess of pecans. A bouquet garnet of inland wild flowers and bush herbs heighten the nose. The palate has a robust and pleasant tannin profile, courtesy of the Tempranillo, finishing with the bittersweet of blood orange Chinotto.
There is an earthy tone suggestive of a horsewhip cured by touch of hand and bee’s wax; loved and respected. This is a wine that slinks easily into a late night wine bar, a “supper club” with weathered leather lounges, a retreat from reality; a bubble of exceptional decadence.
