2023  Mourvèdre

Mourvèdre is a Mediterranean grape known for its alluring spice range, plush fruit and its underlying meatiness. It has a beautiful, seductive balance of aromas that make you want to dive in headfirst.

The 2023 Mourvèdre opens with scents of heady rose petals, sandalwood, star anise and coconut husk. Delicious plum, cassis and cinnamon are also prevalent. On the palate there are flavours of toasted walnuts, blackberry and leather. It is of medium weight, with youthful acidity that helps the wine glide effortlessly across the tongue. This wine has depth, spice and balance, it is truly one to cherish.

We think this wine will drink beautifully alongside a meal of oven roasted celeriac with lentils, hazelnuts and fresh mint.
